El artículo trata de superar la definición intuitiva y pragmática de “algoritmo” analizando su papel social, cultural y político desde la desde la teoría del imaginario social. Se proponen las principales dimensiones del algoritmo en relación con la escritura, el imaginario matemática, la interfaz computacional/cultural, la fantasmagoría mercantil, los vínculos de la tecnología con la magia medieval, y la experiencia “mágica” del usuario.
