Fiber Laser with High Sweep Linearity for OFDR Measurements

Abstract

We demonstrate a tunable laser with high sweep linearity for OFDR measurements. The laser is a strain-tuned DFB fiber laser. With closed-loop control of the laser sweep, 0.14% maximum deviation from constant sweep-rate is achieved.
