Experimental Study of Type B Protection for TWDM-PON System

Abstract

Protection switching time is important factors in TWDM-PON system for business application because it defines the service outage time when failure occurs. An experiment using TWDM-PON assumed 40G-PON system shows that the protection switching time is 25.7 ms.
