Abstract

SUMMARY: Настоящая статья посвящена анализу новейшего законодательства, регулирующего языковую политику в России. В центре внимания автора – проект закона “О государственном языке Российской Федерации” в контексте языковой политики начиная с 1990 г. Она интерпретирует этот закон как попытку разрешить потенциальный конфликт между федеральной и республиканскими языковыми политиками. В статье проводится сравнение проектов закона и анализ его обсуждения, которые демонстрируют тенденцию к централизации федеральной политики в сфере языка на фоне обострения публичных дискуссий о статусе русского языка в Российской Федерации. Это, в свою очередь, позволяет автору делать выводы о том, как общественное мнение понимает роль языка в формировании национальной идентичности.
