It’s neither the old National-Catholicism of Francisco Franco’s right-wing dictatorship nor the flag-waving rhetoric of the conservative Popular Party of the current Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy. Spain’s new patriots are the leaders and voters of Podemos, the left populist party that is trying to shake the foundations of the nation’s political system.
