Sociolingüística de la variació i lingüística forense.

Abstract

Aquest article proposa l'aplicacio de diverses premisses i metodes de la sociolinguistica de la variacio a l'estudi de l'estil idiolectal (conjunt d'eleccions linguistiques que cada individu fa de les possibles alternatives que la seva llengua li ofereix (Nolan, 1994; Coulthard, 2004)) amb finalitats forenses. L'estudi que es presenta s'emmarca dins el projecte Idiolectometria Forense i Index de Similitud Idiolectal i tracta d'establir un index de similitud idiolectal (ISI) per al modul fonologic de l'angles que estableixi la distancia idiolectal a partir de la qual es pugui determinar si dues mostres linguistiques provenen o no del mateix parlant. L'elaboracio d'aquest ISI es basa en l'estudi exhaustiu de determinades variables fonologiques pertanyents a la varietat de l'angles britanic del sud i les dades que s'analitzen han estat extretes a partir d'un estudi mostrari (panel study) en temps real, dins el marc Labovia (Labov, 1966 i 1973; Turell 1995 i 2003). Les hipotesis principals son: a) que la variacio entre diferents parlants (la variacio interparlant) sembla que es mes alta que la variacio en un mateix parlant (la variacio intraparlant) i b) que l'estil idiolectal d'un individu sembla que es mante relativament estable al llarg del temps. Els resultats obtinguts fins ara confirmen les hipotesis plantejades, ja que indiquen que la variacio de les variables fonologiques en un mateix parlant sembla que es mes baixa que la variacio de les mateixes variables entre diferents parlants.
