Abstract

La présente fiche indicateur concerne l’évaluation de la contamination en polybromodiphényléthers (PBDE) chez les poissons. Du fait de leur persistance, bioaccumulation dans les réseaux trophiques et toxicité, les PBDE sont listés POP (Persistent Organic Pollutants) par la convention de Stockholm. Les 6 congénères majoritairement retrouvés (PBDE-28, PBDE-47, PBDE-99, PBDE-100, PBDE-153, PBDE-154) sont utilisés comme indicateurs communs par OSPAR et font partie de la liste des substances prioritaires de la directive cadre sur l’eau (DCE).Leurs teneurs ont été déterminées dans les muscles de poissons prélevés en 2018 lors des campagnes halieutiques « Data Collection Framework (DCF) », dans le cadre du suivi « Contaminants dans le Réseau Trophique » (CoRePh). Ces teneurs renseignent sur la contamination du plateau continental au-delà de l’emprise des masses d’eaux côtières des Sous-Régions Marines (SRM) Manche – Mer du Nord (MMN), Mers Celtiques (MC) et Golfe de Gascogne (GdG).Les concentrations en PBDE chez les poissons sont entre 1,4 et 152 000 fois inférieures aux seuils environnementaux (FEQG, CEPA, 2013) chez les espèces suivies pour toute la façade Atlantique. Au vu de ces résultats, les concentrations observées en chacun de ces 6 PBDE (évaluées individuellement) ne sont pas susceptibles d’affecter les espèces marines dans les zones évaluées.A l’échelle du plateau continental au-delà de l’emprise des masses d’eaux côtières des SRM MMN, MC et GdG, le paramètre « concentration dans le biote - Poissons » est ainsi atteint pour les six congénères de PBDE.
