Abstract

Missing upper centrals incisors can have a major effect on a patients’ self esteem, psychological wellbeing and can also be a significant concern for parents. It is important that this problem is detected and managed as early as possible to minimise these negative consequences. This article offers a summary of the updated guidelines on the management of unerupted maxillary incisors, published by The Royal College of Surgeons of England.1
