Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN. La evolución del concepto de calificación al de competencia ha originado un nuevo tipo de aprendizaje, el aprendizaje basado en competencias. Hoy el concepto de competencia ocupa un lugar central en la capacitación de los ciudadanos tanto a nivel profesional como social, y las competencias clave se consideran la base teórica en la sociedad del conocimiento. Los objetivos de este estudio son determinar los factores constituyentes de una competencia nueva, la competencia europeísta, delimitar y conceptualizar los “indicadores” que conforman cada factor constituyente, distribuidos en el marco tridimensional de conocimientos, destrezas y actitudes y definir la competencia europeísta. La competencia europeísta sería una competencia cohesionadora con las otras ocho competencias y estaría en franca conexión con los objetivos de una progresiva mayor consistencia europea basada en la ciudadanía. MÉTODO. Se ha llevado a cabo una investigación con el método Delphi. Se realizaron dos rondas en las que se consultó a 14 expertos en temas de europeísmo. RESULTADO. Los resultados mostraron un consenso en torno a nueve factores constituyentes de la competencia europeísta, así como un acuerdo unánime en cuanto a los indicadores tridimensionales que los compondrían. DISCUSIÓN. Se concluye que es posible determinar una competencia europeísta, que se sumaría a las ocho competencias clave, cuya adquisición permitiría hacer frente a los retos globales desde el desarrollo de los valores europeos.
