ABSTRACT DATA were analyzed to determine material and con-figuration specific constants for calculating the con-vective heat transfer coefficient for poultry excreta. The convective heat transfer coefficient equation used was: where hc is the heat transfer coefficient, G is the mass velocity, Dc is a characteristic dimension, and the con-stants are a, m and n. The constants, a, m and n, were determined for use with metric and american engineering units.
