Abstract

Mr Peters, a 43-year-old registered general nurse and registered mental nurse, was employed as a charge nurse on a 13-bedded rehabilitation ward for the care of the elderly. Three nursing students worked on this ward during an 8-week placement. They were in the same year of their course but did not work on the ward at the same time. After their placements were complete they each reported to their course tutors incidents of inappropriate behaviour towards them by Mr Peters.
