Tecnologias educacionais no processo de ensino-aprendizagem em citopatologia clínica: da microscopia óptica à imagem digital

Abstract

O uso de tecnologias vem revolucionando a prática pedagógica nos últimos anos. Neste contexto, a microscopia digital, que consiste na transformação de material disposto sobre as tradicionais lâminas de vidro em imagens digitais e a transmissão remota de campos microscópicos, tem contribuído nesse processo. Considerando a progressiva inserção dessas ferramentas ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem, esse trabalho visa discutir o uso da microscopia digital no ensino da citopatologia clínica, as diferentes metodologias e aplicabilidades, vantagens e desvantagens e ainda, apontar sugestões, disponíveis na internet, para acesso educacional. Para a revisão bibliográfica foram empregadas as bases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Pubmed/NCBI (National Library of Medicine/Nacional Center for Biotechnology Information) utilizando, como descritores, os seguintes termos correspondentes em inglês: citologia digital, telecitologia, citopatologia digital, microscopia virtual, educação. A utilização de imagens digitais permite o acesso a uma ampla gama de amostras e acima de tudo, tem possibilitado o ensino a distância. Dentre as vantagens do uso dessa ferramenta no ensino da citopatologia clínica, destaca-se a ampla acessibilidade, a representatividade da melhor amostra e a flexibilidade de horário e local. Entretanto, apesar das limitações, essa tecnologia mostra-se promissora na melhoria do aprendizado.
