O artigo propõe algumas reflexões acerca da dignidade da pessoa humana à luz da ordem jurídico-constitucional, em um debate em que filósofos e juristas divergem sobre o seu significado e conteúdo. Para tanto, parte-se de uma visão crítica sobre a necessidade da compreensão da existência de três dimensões de dignidade humana em um ambiente em que se requer um diálogo entre as culturas. Em uma sociedade democrática, os debates demonstram uma evolução do pensamento humano e contribuem para proteção e concretização da dignidade para cada ser humano.DOI: 10.12957/rfd.2016.22151
