Abstract

El artículo demuestra que en el centro de Europa hubo un fuerte y profundo impacto de numerosas obras de pensamiento español. Obras escritas en latín o español en los siglos XVI y XVII, por escolásticos o humanistas, cuyos planteamientos forman una raíz importante de la filosofía moderna, ya que fueron recibidas muy abiertamente en muchos otros países europeos – sobre todo, antes de su auge nacional–, sus ideas se adoptaron, manipularon y hasta plagiaron, y luego las obras se desecharon y su autoría quedó olvidada. Se plantea la hipótesis de que esos casos de absorción y olvido de filosofía española son sistemáticos, y que tienen que ver con mecanismos propios de la leyenda negra, en una especie de operación de borrado o negación, para terminar en la actual ignorancia.
