Egitimli Gençligi Anlamada Yeni Bir Tipoloji Önerisi: Cool Gençlik

Abstract

Nitel bir yontemle kotarilan bu arastirmaya, 29 farkli universiteden*** bir tanesi yuksek lisans olmak uzere 41 universite ogrencisine ek olarak 2 tane de universiteye hazirlik ogrencisi olmak uzere toplam 43 ogrenci katilmistir. Bu ogrencilerden 40’i Turkiye’de, 1’i Avustralya’da, 1’i Almanya’da, 1’i de KKTC’de yasamaktadir. Arastirmaya katilanlarin yas ortalamasi 20,1’dir. Arastirmaya katilanlardan 16’si kiz, 27’si erkektir. Orneklemdeki ogrencilerden 30’u yani %69,7’si cool kavramini bir genclik sifati olarak 14-17 yas araliginda duymuslardir. Bu donem ayni zamanda gencin cocukluktan cikarak delikanliliga veya genc kizliga gectigi donem olarak da nitelendirilebilir. Bu durum kavramin gencligin dunyasina kendilerini konumlayacak bir kimlik/tarz/tavir arayisinda olduklari donemde girdigini ortaya koymaktadir. Ozellikle belirli bir sosyal, kulturel ve ekonomik sermayeye sahip universiteli gencler icin cool takilmak, bir hayat tarzi haline gelmis durumdadir. Bu baglamda, tum universiteli gencler bir sekilde cool kavramiyla iliski kurmak zorunda kalmaktadir. Elinizdeki arastirmaya gore; universiteli gencligin %41’i kendini cool hissettigini soylerken, ayni orandaki genc kendini asla cool olarak gormedigini, anti-cool genclik, belirtmistir. Orneklemin %17,6’si ise cool olmaya oykundukleri halde, kendilerini bu konuda basarisiz –cool olamamislar- bulmaktadir. Dindar/ Islamci cool genclik bolumu icin Istanbul’da okuyan yedi kiz ogrenciyle ikinci bir orneklem olusturulmustur. Boylece, toplam orneklem sayisi 50 kisi olmustur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Egitimli
