O que sabemos sobre os Lonchaeidae (Diptera: Tephritoidea) no estado do Acre, Brasil?

Abstract

As espécies de moscas da família Lonchaeidae (Diptera) têm sido relatadas como invasoras primárias de plantas cultivadas comercialmente e de espécies vegetais silvestres. No Estado do Acre, particularmente, estão reportadas apenas duas espécies Neosilba glaberrima (Wiedemann, 1830) e Neosilba zadolicha McAlpine & Steyskal, 1982, associadas a poucas espécies vegetais hospedeiras. Este trabalho objetiva mostrar as lacunas no conhecimento sobre os Lonchaeidae no Estado do Acre e despertar o interesse de estudantes de iniciação científica pelo estudo desse grupo biológico.
