The article serves to substantiate the expediency of innovation in tourism. The authors provide specific examples of innovations which benefitted the tourist industry, and suggest new approaches to management that tourism and service enterprises could implement. The authors also carry out an in-depth comprehensive analysis of the elements that ensure the tourist industry’s adaptability to the changes in the types of tourism and, hence, in marketing strategies, innovative services, products and processes.
