Abstract

The textbook is intended for mastering professional terminology and developing the language skills needed in surgical practice. The basics of surgery (history, classifications, necessary skills); general surgery (pathology, preoperative preparation, emergency conditions, postoperative management); operative surgery (instruments, access methods, sutures, complications); pediatric surgery (anatomical and physiological features, congenital pathologies, rehabilitation); faculty surgery (clinical syndromes, modern diagnostics, scientific foundations); current trends (minimally invasive technologies, transplantology, oncosurgery); bioethics and legal aspects (informed consent, error prevention). Meets the requirements of the latest generation of federal state educational standards for higher education. It is intended for students of medical universities, residents, surgeons, as well as specialists in related fields seeking to deepen their knowledge in the field of surgical medicine in a foreign language. The textbook is suitable for classroom work and self-study, as well as for preparation for international exams. The publication combines theoretical foundations with practical recommendations, which makes it useful both for training and for the daily work of surgeons.
