The monograph examines the genesis of modern constitutionalism from the standpoint of comparative jurisprudence. The analysis is carried out in various directions — from the science of constitutional law in the system of legal knowledge to the formation of constitutional models and the identification of their features. Separate chapters are devoted to the study of the European constitutional heritage, constitutional models of the Middle East, African constitutionalism, the experience of constitutional development in Latin America, and the basic laws of the Eurasian states. The continuity of the institutions of constitutional law, as well as the legal traditions of the regions and states under consideration, is emphasized. Much attention is paid to constitutional values — the rule of law, the social state, human rights, etc. The constitutional foundations of interstate integration are revealed, which can contribute to solving issues related to the search for effective interaction between international and national law. The forecast of the development of the so-called global constitutionalism in the context of the formation of a multipolar world is formulated. For legal scholars and practitioners, teachers, students and postgraduates of law schools, as well as for a wide range of readers interested in current legal processes in society and the state.
