Enthalpies of Fusion of Some Binary Organic Mixed Crystals.

Abstract

混晶を形成する二成分系有機化合物のナフタレン-2-ナフトール, trans-アゾベソゼン-trans-スチルベン(以下単にアゾベンゼン,スチルベンと記す。),アゾベンゼン-ジフェニルアセチレン,およびアゾベンゼン-ビベンジルの 4 種類の系について,組成と融解エソタルピーとの関係を示差走査熱量計(DSC)によって測定し,相図との関係を検討した。いずれの系でも得られた融解エンタルピーの値は,混晶が理想溶液を形成すると仮定して求めた理論値に比較し,かなり小さい値であった。混晶の融点がすべて,各純粋成分の融点の中間の値をとる,いわゆる, Roozeboom I 型の相図を示すナフタレン-2-ナフトールおよびアゾベンゼンースルベチン系では,それぞれの系で 2-ナフトールのモル分率が約 0.6,スチルベンのモル分率が約 0.7 で融解エンタピーが極小値を示した。一方,混晶がある組成で極小融点を有する Roozeboom III 型の相図を示すアゾベンゼン-ジフェニルアセチレンおよびアゾベンゼン-ビベンジル系においては,前者ではアゾベンゼンのモル分率が約 0.4で融解エンタルピーと融点の極小値とが一致した。後者では融解エソタルビーと組成との関係はむしろRoozboom I 型のアゾベンゼン-スチルベン系の場合に類似して,アゾベンゼンのモル分率が約 0.6 で融解エソタルピーが極小値を示したが,この他にもアゾベンゼンのモル分率が約 0.2 付近にも同程度の極小値が認められた。さらに,ナフタレソ-2-ナフトール系とアゾベンゼン-ジフェニルアセチレン系については,部分モルエソタルピーの決定を試みた。
