Abstract Cu films were electrodeposited under a magnetic field of 5 T, and cyclic voltammograms (CVs) of the enantiomers of tartaric acid were investigated on the Cu film electrodes. The chiral behavior of the CVs was observed as the peak current difference between the enantiomers. The dependence of the chiral behavior on the potential sweep rate indicates that the enantioselective recognition is performed as the difference in the electron-transfer rate of the enantiomers at the chiral sites on the film surfaces.
