Abstract 4-Amino-5-mercapto-5-substituted 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiols 1a, b reacted with tetrachloro-, tetrafluoro-p-benzoquinone and 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone as well as 2-(dicyanomethylene)-1,3-indandione via charge-transfer (CT) complex formation giving naphthotriazolothiadiazinone 2a—d, bistriazolobenzobisthiadiazine 3a—d, triazolobenzothiadiazinone 4a, b, bistriazolonaphthobisthiadiazine 5a, b, and indenatriazolothiadiazepine 7a, b derivatives.
