Abstract Electrochemical oxidation of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene (1) at higher anode potential than 3.0 V and high concentration of 1 gave a polymer of 1. The polymer deposited on an anode was slightly soluble in organic solvents and the polymer separated from the solution had number average molecular weight up to 1500.
