ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from a selection of papers published in Journal of Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in experimental biology but also the huge variety of animals and physiological systems that are essential for the ‘comparative’ approach. Shuchita Soman is an author on ‘ Odor tracking in insects: a multisensory behavior’, published in JEB. Shuchita is a Post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Sanjay Sane at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, India, investigating the sensory-motor control of complex insect behaviors.
