</script>The current state of the health care management system is one plagued with chaos, due to the lack of proper and timely communication between the various facilities. With every passing day, the number of diseases and their epidemiology is rapidly increasing, with a simultaneous increase in the treatment to the diseases. However, accessibility to treatment is becoming a major problem primarily due to geographical factors. In this regard, Internet of things (IoT) is a potential solution for improving the health care system by connecting everyone and everything. Thus, people from far away locations can access treatments. Patients can be constantly monitored to ensure their well being, and their caretakers can be immediately notified in case of emergencies. This chapter discusses the various ways in which IoT has made and continues to make the health care system more compact and effective; it also discusses the ethical concerns associated with this merging of technology and the patient's health.
