Abstract

This case demonstrates that surplus tooth material from within a patient's mouth may be transplanted to replace a missing or malformed tooth. The usual precaution of immobilization is necessary and if root development is incomplete at the time of operation, it will proceed as before. Apparent vitality can be restored as evidenced by a positive response to electric pulp stimulation.
