The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part Facial Asymmetries are classified with special reference to the mandible, and mandibular displacements. In the second part the diagnosis of mandibular displacement associated with facial asymmetry is discussed, including the clinical and radiographic interpretation and the treatment problems involved. In the conclusion the main points of the article are summarized.
