A histochemical method for demonstration of aminopeptidase in tissue sections using the substrates l-leucyl β-naphthylamide and dl-alanyl β-naphthylamide is presented. The method may also be quantitated on tissue sections. The successful histochemical demonstration of the enzyme with both substrates is dependent upon the use of frozen-dried tissues.
