We compared the three groups' binge and purge behaviors, SCL-90 scones, MAST scores, diet pill use, and incidence of cigarette smoking. Chi square tests were used for comparison of non parametric data. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for parametric data, and post-hoc analyses were done using t tests. Single-group t tests were used to compare subjects' caffeine intake with the average cal feine intake ofcoffee drinkers in the general population (5).
