
This chapter deals with the various rules of procedure and evidence followed by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The rules concerning evidence relate to aspects such as the use of authentic terms, plenary sessions, solemn undertakings taken by the staff of the office of the Prosecutor, the Registry, interpreters and translators, and the code of professional conduct. The rules relating to evidence deal with, among other things, the general provisions, the procedure relating to the relevance or admissibility of evidence, compellability of witnesses, and the transmission and receipt of any communications relating to international cooperation and judicial assistance.
