The emphasis of this book is on the clinical management of gynaecologic malignancies, including breast cancer, combining various treatment modalities, such as radiation and chemotherapy. The focus is placed on non-surgical treatment modalities. Diagnostics and surgical methods are discussed only in as far as they pertain to the definition of the multimodal treatment regimen. Accepted therapies are differentiated from those still in the experimental phase or which lack sufficient scientific support. Combinations of multiple treatment modalities are discussed in individual segments of each chapter.
