Chiral aspects were investigated in the Ag films electrodeposited under magnetic fields of 2 and 3 T perpendicular to the electrode surface. The films were used as modified electrodes, and cyclic voltammograms were examined for the electrochemical oxidation of cysteine and histidine. In both cases, the chiral aspects were observed as the peak current difference between the enantiomers, and the chirality depended on the polarity of the magnetic field during the electrodeposition. The formation of such chiral films is discussed in connection with the micro-MHD effect.
