Abstract

Abstract Three cases of traumatic occlusion of the internal carotid artery in the neck and a fourth case of traumatic transection of the carotid artery in the carotid canal are presented. The clinical and radiological pictures of these cases are described. Early diagnosis is vital to the patient in order that surgery may be undertaken.
