Abstract A combination of B-scanning and A-mode study of the abdominal aorta affords an excellent method of screening patients with prominent abdominal pulsations. In addition, this technique provides information about the internal composition of the vessel which cannot be obtained by other means. Echoaortography is safe and easy to perform and should ensure maximum accuracy.
