Abstract In 15 of 20 cases of right aortic arch, the azygos vein could clearly be seen as a semicircular density displaced to the right by the aortic arch a distance equal to the width of the arch. This sign may be helpful in suggesting a right aortic arch when the more usual findings are absent.
