Abstract A case of an unusual whorled displacement of the right para-aortic lymphatic vessels is presented. The displacement was due to a saccular venous structure with direct communication to the inferior vena cava. On early lymphangiograms the whorled appearance suggested an enlarged lymph node with total tumorous replacement of its internal architecture, but later views ruled out this consideration.
