The arteriographic features of 14 cases of adrenal tumors are reviewed. Eleven of the 14 were successfully localized and diagnosed preoperatively by angiography. Two of the false negative cases were small avascular cortical adenomas associated with aldosteronism. The 7 pheochromocytomas varied considerably in vascularity, but there was no relationship between the amount of vascularity and the presence or absence of malignancy. A typical peripheral distribution of tumor vessels was seen only in benign neoplasms. Arteriography is suggested for localization and diagnosis of adrenal tumors.
