Statements for outputting a trace of what happens during a simulation, and for collecting statistics to be output after the end of the simulation, should not clutter up the main logic of the simulation program.This paper shows with a simple example how a SIMULA program can be structured such that the tracing and statistics and the main logic of the simulation program are partioned into different segments of the program.The paper will, at the same time, show the general facilities which SIMULA has for this kind of program structuring.
