
Summary The lithology of the Speeton Clay C Beds (Hauterivian) at the type locality in Yorkshire is described. Of the eleven broad divisions originally described by Lamplugh (1889), C1, C2, C4, C5, C7, C9 and C11 are subdivided on a lithological basis.
