Abstract

Acupuncture as a therepeutic measure for abdominal pain was early recorded in Huangdi Neijing ("Yellow Emperor's Canon or Medicine''). Fruitful experiments have been accumulated in the practice of the long historical years. Nowadays acupuncture therapy has become one of the main therapeutic methods in surgical acute abdomen and is widely used clinically.
