Spegazzinia tessarthra (Berk. & Curt.) Sacc. is a member of a unique group of hyphomycetes whose conidiophores undergo 'basauxic' growth. In this initial developmental study, time-lapse photomicrographic analyses of two kinds of conidia are presented and ultrastructural features of the fertile cells are examined.
