During 1958, a conspicuous foliage disease was observed on the hybrid aspen Populus tremuloides Michx. × P. tremula L. The symptomology, importance, and probable cause of this disease are discussed. The disease on hybrid aspen was found to be essentially identical with a relatively innocuous leaf spot disease of native aspen.
