Abstract

The synthesis and some fungitoxicity and phytotoxicity data are given for 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole and a series of its n-alkyl thioethers. These compounds exhibit a good measure of fungicidal activity, but would appear to be too toxic to the plants to be practical field fungicides.
