The paper gives an expansion of the error function (normal probability function) for complex values of the argument. The expansion is in terms of rational functions. Asymptotic properties of the coefficients of the expansion are studied and a compact Matlab program is given. A comparison is made with other algorithms from the literature.
Computation of special functions and constants, construction of tables, General theory of numerical methods in complex analysis (potential theory, etc.), asymptotic properties, rational functions, Incomplete beta and gamma functions (error functions, probability integral, Fresnel integrals), Matlab program, complex error function, normal probability function

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 167 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 1% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
