I THANK A. R. Michell ( VR , February 1, 2014, vol 174, pp 124-125) for his perspective on my recent review of One Health ( VR , January 25, 2014, vol 174, pp 85-91), but I believe he has misunderstood the origin and scope of the One Health concept and I consider his criticism is misplaced as a consequence.
