
Summary One hundred and seventy-five rhinoviruses were isolated from 4·4% of patients in the general practice survey and 44 from 1·8% of children in the hospital survey. Isolations were made at all times of the year and although isolated most frequently from cases of common cold rhinoviruses were also found in association with other respiratory syndromes.
