A beacon of generalism

Abstract

I don’t do conferences; they didn’t exist in my day. Anyway, I was never much good at networking, and didn’t value it: it never seemed relevant to what I do. But when the Royal College of General Practitioners’ (RCGP) conference rolls into my town, there seems no excuse not to go. This is only the sixth RCGP conference. I am apprehensive on multiple levels and consider attending in disguise.
