
Increasing occurrence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) and hypervirulent (hv) Klebsiella pneumoniae (MDR-hvKp) convergent clones is being observed. Those strains have the potential of causing difficult-to-treat infections in healthy adults with an increased capacity for mortality.
