The antigenicity and enzyme activity of dilute solutions of RNAse exposed to ultrasonic cavitation have been measured as a function of exposure time. The rate of decrease of antigenicity was one-eighth of the rate of enzyme activity loss. The implication of the results for the use of ultrasound in antigen preparation is discussed.
