A case example of environmental noise impact determination is presented. Environmental noise impact is based on estimated community noise changes from facility operation and construction. These changes are used to estimate incremental community reaction. Methodology consists os comparing average day-night A-weighted sound level (Ldn contours for facility emissions, the present community environment, and their combination. Estimates of sound level and land area impacted are developed to describe community noise changes. Natural and mechanical draft cooling tower impact on nearby communities were compared.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
